Rachapudi Kamakshi Memorial Trust

Rachapudi Kamakshi Memorial Trust instituted three Gold Medals to inspire young people to strive for excellence.

1. Young Geospatial ScientistTM : To encourage young scientists, ‘Rachapudi Kamakshi Memorial Gold Medal' for 'Young Geospatial Scientist TM has been instituted by Rachapudi Kamakshi Memorial Trust be presented every year to a researcher working in the field of geospatial technologies. . The award consists of a Gold Medal, Certificate of Merit and a Citation Plaque

The first award was presented by Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat at Geospatial World Forum 2011 held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad on 18 Jan 2011.

The recipient of the award for the year 2010 is Ms. Thiyam Tamphasana Devi, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India in recognition of the innovativeness and appropriate use of scientific methodology, backed with quality write-up, social relevance and commercial acceptability of the idea and the adequate usage of geospatial technology adopted in for her work on “Identification of Potential Infiltration Zones through Overlay Analysis in GIS Environment using Reservoir Frequencies, Spreads and Other Parameters”

The award for the year 2011 will be presented in Feb 2012 during Geospatial India Forum at New Delhi.

2. Gold Medal for topper in MA Geography: A gold medal is instituted in Delhi University for  girl topper in MA Geography. The first award is to be presented during next convocation

3. Gold Medal for topper in MBA: A gold medal is instituted in Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore for girl topper in MBA. This medal will be presented this year during the first convocation of the University.
